after getting the a level results, i am at another major crossroad of my life. i can't decide on a university course and whether i should try out any scholarships. The 4As was quite unexpected, but i dropped H3 Chem so it might have just effectively killed off my chances of getting an overseas scholarship, especially when competing against the likes of RJ and HC. I was talking to serhua and she was telling me to try no matter what. it reminded me of the typical David vs Goliath encounter (well, Barnsley knocked Liverpool and Chelsea out the the FA Cup), and perhaps gave me a glimmer of hope. Local bond scholarships are quite pointless for me too, so the bond-free ones are the most viable option now.
Back to the topic of university course, i was initially heading towards engineering, until i went for the NTU open house and the bald head who was giving the engineering talk totally turned me off. I was more appealed to business and accountancy after the presentation, and i'm seriously considering whether i should try something new in university. Hopefully the NUS Open House this weekend will give me a greater view and enable me to make one of the most important decisions in my life...
Now to less stressful stuff: i'm quitting my ICA job at the end of the week. it was seriously too boring and although it was easy money i realised it was brain-numbing and pointless. Being jobless would mean more free time again and i can concentrate on my driving lessons and train hard for my taekwondo black belt. I really hope i can get both done before i enter NS. and of course settle all the university admission crap.
