seems like joga bonito didn't work. brazil crashed out to old Zizou & Co. where was ronaldinho's magic? he always did it in the commercials..he just forgot to bring his book of tricks to Frankfurt. so, it's a disappointing end for the former champions.
england lost as expected. they never lived up to expectations. goodbye becks, time to retire. lampard just can't put the ball into the net, not even in the penalty shootout. gerrard missed too. rooney was simply disappointing, perhaps he was just too frustrated playing as the lone striker. owen hagreaves played well yesterday. but it just wasn't enough when it came to the penalties. ricardo proved his worth again with his heroics saves to send the englishmen back home.
so now it's Germany vs. Italy in Dortmund and Portugal vs. France in Munich. who win bring the world cup home? well, the fun has only just started...
